This was my first tablet and i must say i was incredibly impressed by how user friendly it was, my only gripe is that the programs provided have no in depth user manual so figuring out how it works was all guess work

Loved it! Easy to use, with light, sensitive pen or by touch. Buttons on the side control right and left click and touch screen on/off. Bigger than you think, size is of little importance, e.g. compared with the larger, more expensive Bamboo Fun it has all the features and more for a fraction of the price. The tablet is light, sleek and balanced and will easily fit in with a laptop in it's bag. Pen rubber can also be used as an eraser or as a selecting tool. Did have some setup troubles but nothing the internet couldn't fix. Would be nice if the Manga and Anime Studio download came with instructions. I wouldn't recommend buying the wireless accessory kit as it is unnecessary (you hardly notice the wires anyways) and the battery-life is poor.
All in all, I would highly recommend this tablet to anyone who loves manga or anime and is, in my opinion, the best affordable tablet there is out there.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
The tablet is a normal Wacom Bamboo Touch tablet, bundled with Manga Studio and Anime Studio software (worth £30 a piece if purchased separately).

In a pleasing bright green and black colour-way, the Bamboo tablet comes across as a quality piece of kit, and fortunately not just some poor relation to the Intuos range. I have an Intuos 4 and the Bamboo compares favourably. It lacks the angle awareness of the Intuos and it's not as large as my A5 wide, but it's still perfectly usable. If anything I prefer the pen that comes with the Bamboo, it's not as thick or sculpted and I found it more comfortable in use - although personally I would still prefer it to be the thickness of a pencil. There's also a wireless kit available separately if you want to ditch the tablet to computer USB cable.

I found the driver software a bit clunky (on a Mac) and little floating palette that installs as default pointless, but neither of these things impaired the tablets' operation and it worked perfectly well regardless of the software I was using (mostly Photoshop and SketchBook Pro). The touch pad feature on the other hand never really seemed to work right, it seemed to over compensate or do virtually nothing. I quickly ignored this feature.

The Manga Studio and Anime Studio software bundle is downloaded from the Wacom site after registering, and turns out to be something of a surprise - it is way more capable than I expected. The interfaces are a bit rough around the edges, but there's plenty of functionality here - and the inking pen in Manga Studio is a joy to use with a tablet. Anime Studio is equally impressive and there are plenty of online tutorials to get you going.

Both the tablet and software bundle are recommended and good value in this guise, the only real flaw is the touch pad function, which seems little more than a gimmick - but I don't think it's enough to lose it a star.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I greatly enjoyed using this tablet, it's very sensitive and I found the short cut movements intuitive and useful. The touch sensitivity was good to use when I was using the tablet for jobs other than drawing and didn't want to reconnect the mouse, but the option to turn this off was even better as I have a habit of resting my palm on the tablet.

My main complaint was that I tended to accidentally press the buttons when I was resting my palm, which got a little annoying after a while, but I soon managed to adjust to this and stop resting my palm on the buttons.

Overall a really useful product and one I have no hesitation in recommending.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I'm really pleased to have been invited to review this particular tablet, as I reviewed one I purchased about a year ago and discovered some serious problems with the surface of the tablet. My dealer did give me a refund on the one I had before, as he agreed that the surface was unusually soft, leading to scratches appearing on the surface of the tablet when they should not have.
This tablet has exhibited no such problems. The surface feels much harder and I have had no problems with surface scratching.
I have been a professional illustrator for over 25 years. In the old days it was all drawings and scans; now I am drawing direct to the tablet.
So, for me, it is important that any equipment I use does actually work without problems or fuss. If I have a paper drawing in my file I can always rescan it, but with a drawing created direct to the computer - things have got to be reliable.
The pen is comfortable in use, with a nice soft barrel, but I also wrap a small strip of soft rubber around it - where my finger and thumb meet - as I find this makes it comfortable to use for long periods.
When I am working on a series of book illustrations I can easily clock up an 8 hour drawing day, 6 days a week.
The buttons on the tablet are really good, and once you get used to using them you'll wonder how you did without them. I like being able to switch the touch function off and on so easily. The sensitivity is excellent, and you can drag and tap without a lot of force. You can even draw with a fingertip if you hold down the bottom button whilst dragging along the surface. Finger painting at its best.
The tablet worked 'plug and play' on my 1 year old MacBook Pro, but you can also load up the Wacom software to give some more options and controls.
