Having read other guides by this same author, I was interested in this one. It is only ten pages, so it is very brief and like something you would tell a child. I found the illustrations nice and the definitions of differing ballet kinds interesting. I feel it would be a nice place to start a budding little one who was interested in ballet, as I was when I was little. Not comprehensive, but definitely a nice little introduction that I felt was worthwhile. It gives a broad overview of how ballet came into existence, what ballet is, and its history since it came into existence. The ballet terms were also helpful for learning, and I could not see anything amiss in the definitions, as another review vaguely alluded to.
