Balanzza is the innovative, easy to use digital luggage scale which allows travellers to quickly and easily check their luggage weight, so there are no nasty surprises at check-in. Simply place your bag or suitcase on the strap and lift from the ground until the beep sounds. The weight will then be clearly displayed on the screen, ready for you to start your travels secure in the knowledge you’re not going to incur extra costs before you’ve even left the UK! The Balanzza is compact, lightweight and weighs in both kilograms and pounds up to 44kg (100lbs), far exceeding any airline baggage allowance. It has a large easy-read digital display, strong handle and is accurate to within 0.1 kilograms.

Easy four step process:
When to calibrate: Calibration may be required when it is initially installed, if the mini scale is moved to a substantial distance. This is necessary because the weight of a mass in one location is not necessarily the same in another location. Also, with time and use, mechanical deviations may occur.
How to calibrate
Before weighing: Whenever possible, please allow the scale to warm up for 30 seconds after first turning the power on so that the scale will function properly and accurately.
Weighing procedures:
The only moving part of your Balanzza is the handle, this piece is critical for the strength and durability of the scale, it contains an internal metal rail that needs to be clean if any element makes its way in it, please proceed with this steps in case you need to detach the handle for cleaning or if you need to put it back.
How to Detach the Handle:

- Step Two: Wait for the beep
- Step 3: Set it down
- Step 4: Read the weight

How to calibrate
- Before entering calibration mode, press on to turn the power on for 1minutes.
- Enter calibration mode Press on to turn the power off. Press [Reset] first, then Press on, while keeping pressing [Reset], the display will show the A/D value.
- Calibration by the weight Wait for the stable value to be displayed, Press on the display will show "0", after 2 seconds, the display will show calibration weight value.
- Place the calibration weight on platform. After the stable value is displayed, then press on, the display will show "CAL", after 2 seconds, the displayed will return to "PASS" and then return to A/D value, now calibration is finished.
- Press on, turn off the power, press on turn on the power again, place the weight on the platform to make sure whether weighing is correct, if not, repeat steps 2-5.
- Return to weighing mode Press on to turn the power off. Press on again to turn on the power and the scale return to the weighing mode.
Before weighing: Whenever possible, please allow the scale to warm up for 30 seconds after first turning the power on so that the scale will function properly and accurately.
Weighing procedures:
- Press the on button to turn On the scale; and hold it for 3 seconds to turn Off the scale. When power is turned on, all display segments appear on LCD for a few seconds and finally "0" will appear on the display.
- Select the weighing unit with [UNIT]. Press [UNIT] to select a weighing unit: "kg" or "lb". Once the unit has been selected, the selected unit will be displayed above the weight value.
- Start weighing.
- If you do not use a container for weighing:
* Verify the reading is "0". If not, press on to display "0".
* Place objects on the weighing strap to weigh.
* Lift the object from the ground until hearing the beep sound, this indicates that the weight has been locked and displayed. Set the object down, and read the weight. - If you use a bag or other container for weighing:
* Place an empty container on the strap and proceed to weigh it. Wait for the stability weighing value to be displayed and press on to display "0".
* Place the objects to be weighted in the container.
* Lift the object from the ground until hearing the beep sound, this indicates that the weight has been locked and displayed. Set the object down, and read the weight.
- If you do not use a container for weighing:

- Turn the handle 90 degrees with the scale. The rails of the handle will become aligned with the internal screws of the scale. (Figure A)
- Turn the scale diagonally keeping the handle at 90 degrees in order to retract the scale from the handle.
- Remove any dirt or object that might have gotten stuck on the handle. DO NOT USE WATER.
- Align the scale with the handle at 90 degrees.
- Rotate the scale diagonally till the internal screws enter the handle rails.
- Turn the handle to closed position by applying pressure at the screw levels.
- The screen can stop functioning properly if mistreated or hit.
- If the strap shows any signs of wear and/or break please stop using the Balanzza.
- When collapsing the handle please do not have your fingers or hand between the handle.
- When lifting the object with Balanzza please use the same precautions as any other object, the use of the Balanzza does not increase your strength or decreases the weight of the object.
- When securing the strap, please keep your fingers outside the clip.
- Do not leave the batteries inside the Balanzza for long periods of time without use.

Let me down when I needed it...,

Concept is great. I've been using "springy" scales before which are always ~1-2kg out so thought I'd splash out a bit more for these digital (more accurate) ones.
First thing I noticed when the item arrived, is it did not have a calibration weight and could not be calibrated as given in Amazon's description for this item. This became even more important when I needed to use the item 3 weeks later on the eve of packing for a flight. When I took the scales out it showed "out-0" on the LCD and could not be used. I called Balanzza and they were surprised that it would show this without any load and suggested the item was faulty and to return it to Amazon for a refund as it was calibrated before leaving the factory and the error message should only show up if weighing more than 44kg and certainly not when the item wasn't being used. I still believe in the product and so will be buying another one but just wanted to warn people to check their item a few days before so that you can get a replacement in time if needed but hopefully, judging by the number of 5 star ratings, this is a rare occurence.

Simply excellent,

They arrived promptly after ordering and I was pleasantly surprised to find they came equipped with the necessary batteries. I imagined that there would be some sort of time consuming setting up procedure to go through (as most things with digital in the name seem to require), but to my relief, it was just simply plug and weigh. Plug in the batteries and you're away. Using the scale is simplicity itself and it is compact enough to take along, so the return journey can be just as check-in friendly as the outbound. I can't recommend this product highly enough, so simple and user friendly. My days of standing on the bathroom scale struggling to see the readout flicking back and forth and thankfully over and I now stride up to the check-in desk full of confidence that it is no longer going to be me causing the huge backlog of impatient travellers.
