What can you say about Funk D'void,He's been around for a while and been a stalwart for good underground music.Seen him a few years back play shine in belfast and he certainly knows how to rock a crowd.
While this album for the Balance series is more eclectic and spacey than his live driving house and techno sets it's all the better for it,though it has it's dancefloor moments, it also some great atmospheric numbers perfect for a party or headphones alike.Right up there with other Balance releases like Joris Voorn/James Holden & Chris Fortiers masterpiece it's an essential listen for any EDM fan.

At the moment the Balance series of compilations is on fire - this is no exception. The latest in a line of sometimes unexpected but utterly well conceived albums full of expertly well put together tunes, this time the mastery hits heavy and deep on the first CD taking a turn to the lighter, drum led melodies found in the first few tunes on he second. Overall a complete masterpiece.

Great mix from Funk D'Void...
This is my first of the balance series
CD 1 I like alot. Some nice house/tech tracks, not too hard. He provides a new and inspiring mix that keeps house music fresh.
CD2 is a bit more chilled out - with some breaks and house, but still a very good selection of tracks.
I would definetely recomend this to any underground house/techno/electro fan

Balance mixes seem to bring out the personal, flavoured touch from each contributor and it isn't a coincidence most releases have the person behind them right on the cover art. Read more
