Easy to follow traditional jewish cooking,

This book is excellent for anyone who likes easy to follow and uncomplicated recipies. The range of traditional recipies is extensive. Probably the best feature for me; living in an area where there is limited kosher food, is that the recipies are easily adaptable.

Great Cookbook,

I really love this cookbook! My local library carries it and I've taken it our more times than I can remember. The recipes taste delicious and are very easy to follow. I have never seen a recipe with 9 sticks of margarine in it so I am not sure what the other review is talking about. There is even a whole chapter on miniatures! I have finally decided to buy it - trust me, you will really like it.

this cookbook is pretty decent and the pictures are great. there is , however absolutely no regard to fat content and you can find recipes calling for 9 sticks plus an additional 2 pounds of margerine so that although this cake is amazing you are essentially eating flavored margerine.

I have a huge collection of Jewish/Kosher Cookbooks and I usually find something I like in all of them, and I never ever get rid of one from my collection; but this one I actually gave away. The pictures are almost all out of focus, causing dizziness at best, nausea at worst. I found virtually nothing appetizing about the recipes or the pictures. I bought this book with hopes of finding some tried and true favorites, instead I rushed to take it out of my house.
Sorry, this Balabusta will have to choose something else. |
