Made no discernible difference 21 April 2012

Tasked with making a wedding cake for my daughter I found getting the cakes for the tiers the same height for icing more difficult than anything else. I bought these as other reviewers reported good results in baking level cakes with no doming or splitting. Unfortunately, I cannot give the same report as my cakes came out much the same as before with some better than others. Annoying as these strips aren't cheap.
