This is undoubtedly a cute little book, well presented and a great looking gift. Unfortunately, and it says this nowhere on the Amazon listing, it is American as are all the measurements in the recipes. I've never been able to work out "cups" myself, and several of my cookery books have conflicting conversions. All the oven temperatures are in "degrees" but I think they must mean Fahrenheit. Having done the conversions, though, there are one or two ingredient problems - I've heard of Canola Oil but wouldn't know where to get it or whether olive or sunflower would substitute (some of the other recipes state olive oil); I've never heard of Fruity Pebbles and don't think they sound like anything I would want to feed to my dog; I certainly wouldn't load her up with red and blue food colouring!
After all this, it certainly is a cute little book, and the three cutters are cute and handy for your own recipes - a cat, a bone and a sort of tree/leaf-type thing. I bought this cheaply from a marketplace seller and really can't complain, and it would certainly make a cute gift for your American friends, but I'm afraid it's a lot of money for a 3 inch bone-shaped biscuit cutter, unless you desperately need one and can get it cheaply from marketplace.

Mini indeed 26 Dec 2008
Format:Paperback
I was shocked at just how tiny this book is. I also agree with the other reviewer that the ingrediants aren't easy to get hold of. We bought it as a novelty gift for a relative who is obsessed with her dog and I'm not sure it would be better for much more than that.

The mini kit was much smaller than expected. Should have guessed with mini in the title! Very americanised therefore, the fire hydrant wasn't really relevant here in England. However the other cutters are perfect for doggie biscuit size and makes many. Some of the recipes are again very american and some of the ingrediants are not off the shelf here in England. Have adapted a few, and it gave me an idea what to try.
For the price, I guess it was good value, even if it was only for the cutters.
