I found this map very useful for reviewing where hotels are located, and for sites of interest.
There are maps available to pick up at the airport on arrival. These carry local information and adverts. They may be more up to date due to the constrution going on in Bahrain and the reprint dates.

Is ok but does not have street level details

I was looking for a map that would give me street level details of Manama (such as street names or numbers). Unfortunately, this map doesn't do that. If you are looking for a general Bahrain map this is fine. But if you want to use it as a backpacker and navigate through its streets, this does not help much.
