I have rarely read a published work so badly written. This is a truly awful text.
Also, after having spent now just six months in Bahrain, I can strongly recommend the experience and the hospitality of the Bahrainis, that this book is hopelessly out-of-date in representing.

Have read this easy to read book in a few hours. Lots of very valuable information. If your completely new to the 'area', this book will be very helpful.

This is a decent book -- A more entertaining book for those who desire the close up view of life in Bahrain should consider Bahrabian Bacchanal- The Untold Story About Arabia.
