5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant pruning saw 9 Nov 2011

I bought this saw along with the Bahco 3M extending pole. Both items have been fantastic buys. The saw is easy to use and cuts through thick branches very quickly even when attached to the fully extended pole which is just what I had wanted. I have also used the saw without the pole and again it is an excellent saw, dealing with substantial branches with ease. The metal saw handle is not that comfortable but with a pair of normal garden work gloves, it gives no problems. Overall, this is one of the best pieces of garden equipment that I have ever bought.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous saw 7 July 2010

I googled to see what the best type of saw was for cutting back tree branches. And a pruning saw came up in the search. I had never heard of one. It really does saw in both directions. It cuts through pretty thick branches, too and the blade didn't wobble when cutting, unlike other saws I own. I bought the extension pole but didn't need it because I was able to cut through the bottom of thick branches and didn't need to reach up to high ones. It was easy to saw the branches into smaller pieces so I could put them in my garden waste wheelie bin. I felt like I was in the jungle with a machete! It actually made an onerous task seem like fun. Very good quality product. I am going to buy a second one as a gift for someone else who needs to cut down branches from their neighbours trees which overhang their fence. I will give them the extension pole too because they won't be able to get at the base of the branches they need to cut back.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent pruning saw 6 Jan 2010

A vicious looking but remarkably efficient curved saw. Stick it on the end of a pole, a few up and down strokes and the branch comes crashing down. Cuts through green wood a few inches thick with ease and can be detached from the pole and used as a handsaw to chop the fallen branch. Has a simple 'hollow' handle so it can be attached to any pole. It has done everything I've asked of it with ease. An excellent pruning saw for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars pruning saw 27 Dec 2011

This saw works really well and I have fitted a handle to it which I am very pleased with. I might find fault with the guard, which could be sturdier - I wonder how long it will last?

5.0 out of 5 stars Pruning saw 25 Nov 2012

I work on a farm so have to do a lot of pruning of apple trees each year so I need a good saw. I like this Bahco saw as it is straight forward to attach to a handle and it does the job well. After pruning several hundred trees the saw remains quite sharp. Just be aware it is extremely sharp but if you know what you are doing and use it properly you should be fine.
Would always use Bahco.
