About the Author
Phil Beadle is an English teacher, a former United Kingdom Secondary Teacher of the Year in the National Teaching Awards, and a double Royal Television Society Award winning broadcaster for Channel 4's The Unteachables and Can't Read Can't Write. He writes a column called On Teaching for Education Guardian.

A good read although tedious at times. It's obvious that Phil Beadle knows his stuff and comes across as a caring and fun educator. I would love to have had him as my English teacher! Well worth a read, if only to understand what goes on in the world of today's (or, rather, yesterday's) education.
