Total delight 18 Feb 2003
Format:DVD
Lovers of Free, Bad Company and Paul Rogers, will be entirely happy with this superb performance. Rogers looks totally in control and in command of some of the greatest Bad Company material. The performance is strong and totally what you would expect, and more, from the world's greatest blues rock vocalist.

Backed by Simon Kirk on drums, the original Free drummer and a fine performance by Jazz Lochrie on bass, the band are superb. Dave Colwell also adds the flavour that both Mick Ralphs and Kossoff gave to the original material and is a great foil to Rogers. Paul Rogers is at his best and has never sounded better. His stage presence is wonderful.

The only negative is that the recording of the bass is light but overall, you really wish you had been to this one! It is noticeable that the band themselves enjoys the performance which gives a special edge to the gig.

Definately one to have!

By Phil
Format:DVD
Anyone who likes Free, Bad Co themselves, or Paul Rodgers' solo work will love this. The excitement level hits fever pitch from the first note of Burnin' Sky and stays there as the band pick the highlights from a back catalogue of rare quality. Blues-rock never sounded or looked so good, and along the way Rodgers confirms his position as one of rock's premier frontmen. At 50+ going on 35, he looks great and sounds better. Only when he is stationary at the piano for a couple of songs, focused on his instrument, does the passion drop briefly from "intense" to merely "spellbinding". The great songs just keep on coming - Rock Steady, Ready For Love, Bad Company - sung and played by all with real energy and the honesty that only comes from musicians who are truly having a blast. Kirke and Lochrie are rock solid while Bucket seems to feel the songs rather than just play them. Only the Lorelei tapes come close to generating the same excitement.

Did I mention appearances by Slash and Neal Schon, a Beatles medley and two new tracks? No? Just buy it - get lost in the rock'n'roll and drift away.

Would have been five stars if it was an hour longer.

Merchants of COOL !!! 5 July 2002
Format:DVD
Surely reviewer from Budapest must be commenting on a different concert or a faulty product. I've just played this for the 3rd time and it's MAGNIFICENT. Sound and picture quality are both superb as are the songs and performance. The only audience singing is at the climax of the show during 'Shooting Star' which just adds to the atmosphere. I was a fan of Free and Bad Company during the seventies and the two non original members more than do justice to this classic band. I can honestly say this DVD will be played many, many times.
