A very good sounding (remastered) British import 3-cd, 75 track compilation of 1952-60 U.S. blues (each disc runs about 75 min.), 70 songs in mono, 5 in stereo, with around 45 artists (some giants, like Elmore James, Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson..., & some not so well known like Roosevelt Sykes, Johnny Fuller, Billy Gayles). If you are a blues collector, you probably have most of these songs already, but if you are not particularly well versed in where all those mid-late 60s British Invasion bands (Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Cream, the Stones, Animals, Them, Yardbirds...) got their chops, you cannot go wrong with this extremely well-priced set. Each disc is securely held in place with standard "center hole teeth" inside a trifold cover; no booklet/info other than song/artist/writer/date. Also, if of interest, if you want to make your own playlist(s) from the cds, the volume between tracks is very consistent (other than a couple songs that are a little too high).
