Truly terrible cash-in - massively disappointing for any fan, 4 Jul 2004
This exceptionally short video (only a few minutes long) contains only three short interviews of the band padded out with some lame graphics overlaid with blurb extolling the band's merits. The tape begins with Bad Boys Inc (minus Tony) on a breakfast TV show with Anne Diamond in late 1993. There is a short prelude to the interview where Bad Boys Inc are shown the correct way to iron a skirt (no, really). The video then cuts to a later part of the show where the lads are on the sofa enduring an unbelievably dull interview. "It's nice to see you with your shirts on", says Ms Diamond, unflatteringly, "and most of them are quite well ironed as well." And this, I'm afraid, is about as exciting as it gets. The picture quality is pretty appalling throughout. The remaining two interviews are both from kids TV show 'Gimme 5'. The footage here has been made even worse by the colours being altered to look "edgy", or something. The two Gimme 5 interviews are separated by a section of inadvertently hilarious blurb: "From conception to present day Bad Boys Inc have pushed the limits of music [eh?!!] giving the public an insight into their unique form of communication, with the meaning of their life through their songs", it gushes ungrammatically, before making the hilarious claim that "Bad Boys Inc have now become one of the most popular bands of all time." During the second 'Gimme 5' interview, things become even more farcical when the presenter of the TV show makes the lads say 'hello' to 'Linda Davenport' who, apparently, is in a coma. What, one wonders, is the point of saying hello to someone in a coma?!! Fans be warned. This video contains absolutely no Bad Boys music or live performance footage. The best thing about it is the picture on the cover (well, I think Tony looks rather gorgeous anyway), but you hardly need to buy the video just for that. It should be said that this is a totally 'unofficial' product and has absolutely nothing to do with any of the band themselves. If, like me, you're a fan of Bad Boys Inc, then you should get their excellent video 'Bad Boys Inc - Extended' - a full 100 minutes of really excellent stuff including interviews, footage of the band visiting various countries, all the video promos, etc.
