5.0 out of 5 stars Need to hear this 8 Oct 2003
Format:Audio CD
More often than not, soundtracks to big motion pictures end up with one or two memorable songs from the movie, but the rest of the album is filled with much poorer tracks. Fortunately, the Bad Boys 2 OST does not do this, and beats the mould, thanks to the Bad Boys CEO, P Diddy.
The hot tracks to look out for are: 'Shake Ya Tailfeather' with Nelly and P Diddy, 'Girl I'm a Bad Boy' by Fat Joe, 'Flipside' with Freeway and Peedi Crakk, and 'Realist N*ggas' which is the fantastic 50 Cent and BIG combination. On top of all of these great tunes are some worthy offerings by Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and the club-banger 'La-la-la' by Jay-Z. Certainly is an all-star cast, and is worth every penny.

Format:Audio CD
this soundtrack combines the best of the rap, hip hop and r'n'b worlds!
also containing lil clips of sound from the movie, banter between mike lowrey (will smith) and marcus burnett (martin lawrence), adding a comedy element to the album as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Bad Boys Bang For A Second Time 22 July 2003
Format:Audio CD
We have a winner...for the best sountrack to come out this year!
As the title suggests this album compilation carries on from the last one characterising the urban explosion in commercial usuage. This soundtrack includes some of the hottest songs in the urban market today carefully planned by the ever-huge P Diddy and his Bad Boy camp, which itself sets the scene for the tracklist.
The stand-out tracks are definitely 'La la la (Excuse me miss again remix)' by Jay-Z, produced by the massively successful Neptunes, a tune set in motion from the original soulful version 'Excuse me miss' pumped up which makes you want to just nod your head and really hypes you up. Secondly 'Shake your tailfeather' by P Diddy and Nelly & Co., which is a first-time collaboration by P Diddy and Nelly but to be said an excellent one. Both artists really shine on this summertime anthem , helped by Murphy Lee from Nelly's St. Lunatics clique.
The soundtrack itself shows examples of very good hip hop music ranging from the more 'radio-friendly' tracks by such artists as Beyonce 'Keep giving your love to me' and Justin Timberlake 'I love you' to raw hardcore 'club-bangers' as 'Flipside' by Freeway and 'Realest n*****' by The Notorious BIG and 50 Cent, which are songs that i have seen get an excellent response in a club environment, being one of the main reasons for me absolutely loving this soundtrack, one that i have constantly been playing.
Even though this is not an artist album it has a real collective feel and the tracks and artists included brings around the new, best and freshestin urban music.
Overall an excellent album let alone soundtrack compilation, a real fresh sound for hip hop lovers and general urban music fans.
