This is the classic backgammon text. It deals with basic principles as well as introducing some of the more advanced strategies. It is clearly written, well illustrated and easy to read.
This is a must for all levels of players both beginner and expert. It's just a shame it is so difficult to get hold of.

Forget all the rest, this book will teach you how to win at Backgammon. Anyone who wants to graduate from average to master should get hold of a copy.

This really is the best backgammon book. Magriel is a great teacher who, rather than just fill his books with tables of probabilities, can turn the numbers into memorable concepts.
