I liked the outline of this book and the concept was excellent. However it was written like a film script or a play and it lacked background on the characters and seemed to stagger from one set to another- I kept on picturing someone shouting 'Lights,Camera, Action'. Sadly in its current format it lacks enough depth to become a film.
It did not come together as a script for a book which is a pity as with a few tweaks and a little proofreading I would have given it at least a 4 star rating. I would hope the next books in the series are better but I suspect they are also written like film scripts and I suspect that is what the author does- work with film scripts on a daily basis. It could have been a groundbreaking series - sadly it missed a lot of background information on the marine corps which the company seems to base its 'moral values' which would have improved the style of the book.

Got halfway through and started speed reading...always a bad/bored sign.
Long, rambling life histories of the characters.
Also could not get along with this 'film script' type dialogue.
Very little action and the outcome of the story was inevitable.

Ok But a bit too far fetched and simplistic for me, maybe further titles in the series become more realistic

I thought at first the writing style was like looking at a play script with all the actors lines highlighted with there part names.
Once I stopped taking notice of the highlighted names and just read the book it was fine and a good story line.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Action packed and exciting, right the whole way through to its dramatic end.
This story does not disappoint the reader. In holding your attention, it draws you in as you get to know the characters. I really do hope there's more to come about this crew.

Very good read with fast moving action and characters that you can associate with in relation to the storyline. Was not initially sure about the writing format but actually think it works quite well. Will certainly read the follow-up books.

I read this book after first reading Prime Assert and although that's the wrong order it didn't spoil anything.
Always plenty of action and doesn't disappoint.
