Awsome unstoppable jive

When I first heard this CD I was awestruck. This music is so powerful that one cannot hold still unless absolutely dead, and then I have seen the walking dead brought to life by this wonderful jive. As a musician and sax player myself I continue to be in awe of these great men who hold down some of the most incredible grooves I've ever heard. I have been listening to this CD and performing songs from it for about four years now and I hear something new in the tunes all the time. The groove is integral. All parts are part of the groove. Instead of riding on the waves of the groove like melodies in latin and west African musics often do, the Boyoyo's meolodies swim in the water and add their own wave to the tide of the jive. America and the rest of the world, WAKE UP to this unstoppable beat! Boyoyo's, thank you for a great swim! Keep pumping it out!

All instruments play percussion on this one, with the saxophone as the main talking drum, backed by a guitar, drums and bass. The alto is played like a bass, the bass is a rhythem guitar, and the drums keep it together, pulling you to the floor.
This is dance music of the highest form - possessing the magic that will make everything move. You dont try to dance to this one, you try to resist it, but you just cant, and you find yourself overcome by a simple, magical rhythem.

These 2 albums are both an great example of beautiful South African Jive music. The way this music was produced was very fine. Nice horns and violins used in an increadible way.
Another thing that makes these 2 albums unique in, is that there are very few lyrics in this music.
This allows to enjoy it, knowing that the music is whats guiding you and nothing else.
