Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Fans of the Titanic soundtrack will undoubtedly appreciate this sequel, a collection of original music and background tunes not found on the first disc. They won't be disappointed. The newly composed "Titanic Suite" and "Epilogue: The Deep and Timeless Sea" are patchwork quilts of James Horner's most moving themes from the movie. Despite a few awkward transitions in "Suite" (where melodies move from sombre to uplifting), the compositions--played by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Choristers of King's College, Cambridge--work well. There is also a lot of diversity here, such as Gaelic Storm's lively "An Irish Party in Third Class" and chamber group I Salonisti's "Alexander's Ragtime Band" and "Nearer My God to Thee". The misses are few: the breathy Maire Brennan's "Come Josephine, in My Flying Machine" is lethargic, and the movie dialogue peppering several songs (including Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On") is more distracting than effective. --Jason Verlinde

Breath Taking 20 Aug 2010

I have owned 3 titanic CD albums but I got to say it, this is my favorite of them all. From the very first song, it makes me feel like I am on the titanic. I do love the Come Josephine Flying Machine and it's a tune that I am always humming along too every day out and about Lol! This is the very top must have album, It is soo relaxing. So if you want to be on Titanic get this album sit back and enjoy :-D

I enjoyed the film, I also enjoyed the films soundtrack, but this CD is better than both (if that's possible!)
Memories of the film are brought vividly back listening to it, but even without seeing the film is is hauntingly beautiful.
Thoroughly recommended.

if you own the first sound track, you have to get this as well. It contans music with parts of the film along side, including rose's farewell, the band playing as the ship sinks & celion's "i will always love you" is superb. The music is fantastic you can place yourself inside the movie while you are listening to it, so buy it sit back and relax.
