We took this book on a ten-day touring holiday in Italy, and found it to be of great use. It led us to many delightful spots, that we would never have found otherwise. Highly reccomended.

We used this on a recent road trip: Rome, Positano, Tropea. We found the book a pleasure to use with only one inaccuracy on our trip (a recommended restaurant in Tropea had closed). Good pictures, interesting opinions and suggestions, helpful maps. Not exhaustive but with some useful suggestions.

I plan to drive through Italy from the Alps to south most point in Sicily and I found this book exceptionally helpful to plan my routes. It doesn't waste time giving details on major cities which I would not have time to explore and sticks to the lesser known towns and villages which will give you a truer picture of La Bella Italia.
