I'd spent ages trying to glean information for road trips from other guidebooks, but this one has it all. It covers the well known places to a visit with an 'off the tourist-trail' twist. In Normandy alone it covers the villages and memorials of the Somme, the rural area around Camembert, a route to get to Mont St Michel, and a route through countryside just because the 'remarkable variety of landscapes and atmospheres'.
The drive it recommends for a trip through the Pyrennees looks like something straight from Top Gear. I wish I could do it all in 2 weeks!!
My only concern will be our ability to relax when driving on the other side of the road in rural areas, and if I could improve one thing it would be to recommend some campsites along with hotels in the accommodation options.
