The concept of the chill-out album is nothing new: take a bunch of laid-back, atmospheric records, arrange in suitably low-key running order, then sit back and, well, relax. It's all too easy, right? Thankfully our DJs for this particular cool-down session are the much-revered Rollo & Sister Bliss, head honchos of the Faithless empire and seasoned arbiters of taste. Not for them the "obligitory" tunes of the moment (hello Moby), nor useless aural wallpaper, just 16 personal tracks picked from love. It is a curious journey that takes in the gamut of sunset grooves--from the Balearic lullaby of Sub Sub's "Past" to Kruder & Dorfmeister's dubbed-out wizardry on "Bug Powder Dust". Add to this various downbeat curiosities such as Tinderstick's beer-sodden lament, "Another Night In", the Casio blues of "I Love My Man" by Bent, even Mazzy Star, and you end up with a collection that is wilfully eclectic but deliciously debilitating. --Paul Tierney

Quite simply, the aural equivalent of silk sheets on a luxurious four-poster bed. From the moment the first notes of the Rollo and Bliss-penned Intro track, melding seamlessly into Dido's My Life, caress your waiting and expectant ears, this album is a thing of rare and entrancing beauty. Aaron Neville's "Hercules" and Mazzy Star's bewitching "Fade Into You" compliment rather than detract from the album's more conventionally "chill-out" tracks such as K&D's "Bug Powder Dust" re-dub, but for me this album's high point is the acoustic majesty of Pauline Taylor's "Solo Flying Mystery Man", very probably my favourite song in the whole world. Quiet, understated, and just like the rest of the album, as near to perfection as i've heard recorded.

This album remains for me the finest example of the Back To Mine series, an honour possibly shared only by its Groove Armada sibling. Not just fifteen great songs, as diverse as they are beautiful, but a genuine care and gracefullness applied to their ordering, mixing and tinkering. Once Dido's 'My Life' fades effortlessly into Sub Sub's 'Past', you're hooked and there's no escape for the next hour.
Why Pauline Taylor's Solo Flyin' Mystery Man and Aaron Neville's Hercules aren't available anywhere else is just a mystery.
Buy it for yourself, then buy it for your friends. They'll love you for it.

OK, so I am not a massive fan of faithless and do not possess any of their albums but this particular collection has made me see them in a different light. I feel this album contains the soul of faithless. Not the sometimes cheesy output that I have come to associate with them but the musical influences behind that.
The album starts off brilliantly with a short intro which blends into the sublime vocal talents of dido. From there the tracks spiral off into a comnbination of early house grooves, deep & soulful numbers and brilliant ambient tracks - some of which have introduced me to new artists.
And before I knew it the ablum had drawn to a close and I thought 'Wow, is that really what Faithless is all about?'. Well buy it and judge for yourself, I can promise you one thing - you wont be dissapointed!!

Great Album
I've had this album for a long while and it has never left my rotation of music. Good "chillout" music but they songs also have enough emotional depth to keep you engaged.

Must have abum!
Superb lounge album taking you on a journey from hip hop to trip to soul, this is a must for collectors! Just what the doctor ordered after a hard night out.

The most chilled cd i ever have had the plesure of chilling
