From the start the familiar sound of Huey Lewis and the News brings all the memories of the classic film rushing back. The whole CD is full of tunes that, if you have watched the film, you will remember. The catchy heaven is one step away will have you tapping your feet while the back to the future theme music is a master piece from Alan Silvestri. Of course the end music is that of the enchantment under the sea dance where Marty McFly (Micheal J Fox) brings the house down with Johnny B Goode.
All in all this CD is a must for any back to the future fan, catchy tunes all the way make this a must buy cd!!!

This CD is packed with great songs and orchestral pieces that easily take you back to the joy of watching this timeless piece of movie magic. The two Huey Lewis & The News tracks are true classics as is Time Bomb Town, written and performed by Lyndsey Buckingham who has a real gift for writing imaginative music, evoking the essence of the film itself. Theres also great nostalgia in Earth Angel and the barnstorming Johnny B.Goode. Alan Silvestri's score is gripping and it will stay with you forever.

If you love the Back To The Future trilogy, get this CD now! The mixture of contemporary tracks and Alan Silvestri's classical score segments is perfectly balanced and keeps this soundtrack one that you won't be able to take out of your CD player. I defy you not to dance around the room to Power Of Love or Back In Time or be able to resist slipping your version of Van Halen axe into Johnny B Goode. True, there are some tracks missing (step forward Four Acres' Mr Sandman and the version of Johnny B Goode from the movie) and the running order was a little confusing, even though the segments are broken up nicely by the snatches of theme music. Personally I'd have put the stuff playing in the 1985 at the end of the film as the last tracks on the CD, but that's just my opinion. All in all, the perfect addition to the music collection of any Back To The Future or movie soundtrack fan and definitely the best of the three.

It's not really possible to do better than this for a movie soundtrack, so Hollywood might as well stop now. As well as a corking selection of rock and pop songs, there are two superb orchestral pieces from the inspired Alan Silvestri-penned score.
This collection excels where many others - not least the sequels to this very film - fall down, in that there is a bit of everything.
Huey Lewis & the News contribute 'The Power of Love' and the equally rampant 'Back in Time', and these are strongly complemented by songs from Eric Clapton and Lindsay Buckingham for the 1985 era.
The album's second half details the tracks from Marty's jaunt in 1955 - Etta James' boisterous 'Roll with me Henry' and three songs from the fictitious (but no less capable for it) Marvin Berry & the Starlighters, culminating in the magical 'Earth Angel' and a rip-roaring 'Johnny B Goode'.
It helps if you've seen the film, but even if not, this is a musical feast underpinned by a film score good enough to knock E.T. into a cocked hat.

Positively the best film in the series, Back To The Future also boasts the best music of the three. First up is Huey Lewis' Power of Love which is the perfect backing to Marty's skateboard trip to school at the beginning of the film. This CD not only transports the listener back in time to the mid 80's, but also to the mid 50's with the starlighter's Earth Angel and Chuck Berry's Jonny B Goode. Alan Silvestri's unforgettable score adds punch and style to the film and is wholesome and original.

For those of you who watched Back to the Future in the cinema when it came out back in 1985, and thought what a fabulous movie it was and still is, you will enjoy this cd, as you'll be transported back in time and experience the uplifting feelings you had when you first saw the movie. The only song which was in the movie and isn't on this cd is 'Mr Sandman', the first 50's song you hear when Marty ends up in 1955. The one downside of this cd, in my opinion, is the fact that some of the songs are played very briefly in the movie, and sound ok in the movie, but in their entirity don't sound as good. I am of course referring to 'Time bomb town' and 'Heaven is one step away'. The other songs, like the Huey Lewis and The News songs, and the 50's tracks are excellent and a pleasure to listen to. All things considered, if you're a Back to the Future fan, this cd is definitely worth getting.

I grew up with Back to the Future, the music has always cheered me up and the movies have been my favourite sci-fi trilogy for so long that every time I hear the main theme and the soundtrack I'm always taken back to the classic movies.

This soundtrack is a must have if you're a fan of the films. Every song from the first film is here. The Power of Love and the awesome Back In Time by Huey Lewis, the well remembered Marty McFly rendition of Johnny B Good and the main theme. The main BTTF theme is such a powerful composition it always makes my hair stand on end, and listening to the music always puts me in the mood to watch the movies. The rest of the soundtrack has some truly great songs by Eric Clapton, Lindsey Buckingham and Etta James. If you haven't heard of the artists you will no doubt recognize their songs from the film. Also it contains the Earth Angel track by Marvin Berry from the famous Enchantment Under the Sea dance. The only bad thing is that not all the songs are on this CD for example, Mr Sandman by the Four Aces isnt on it which is a bit of a shame but not really a big deal.

The main theme though to BTTF is one of the best themes I have ever heard in a movie. It has the power to bring a tear to an eye with its power and rich quality. It's such a powerful theme you'll be surprised you didn't buy this soundtrack sooner.

Overall the Back to the Future soundtrack is an amazing album especially for such a low price. There may not be many songs on the disk but they are such great quality songs that the quantity doesn't matter and it's truly made up for by the solid structure and power of the songs. Listening to this music will no doubt put you back into the mood to watch the movies which are, as well as the soundtrack, absolute classics. A must for any fan of BTTF and great music in general who want to go back in time and relive the magic.
