Format:Audio CD
Dokken's 1987 album "Back for the attack" continued pressing the trend of catchy guitar melodies rather than clever songwriting, with guitarist george lynch's showcasing some of his best playing on this album.
The overall sound of the album is far more compressed and tighter than their previous releases, sounding far more polished than their other releases sadly losing some of the raw edge that made dokken great. Irregardless of this minor sound difference, songs such as "Kiss of death" and "Dream Warriors" will have you singing along for years to come!
Definately worth the purchase.
....and for the record, I consider "Under Lock and Key" to be dokken's greatest album - however many will disagree

Some of the reviews on here are a little on the harsh side,but everyones entitled to their opinion.
Mines as follows,there's probably no more than a handful of really good tracks on here Mr Scary is a great instrumental Kiss Of Death is also excellent and the pop rock of Burning Like A flame is also worthy of being called a good tune but the rest of it does come across as formulaic.
Although Mr Scary is a great track i've always thought Mr Lynch was formulaic and only inventive to a point anyway and his rythm playing has always been fairly straight forward, four four, so I also agree that a lot of this is music by numbers.Having said that most bands end up at that point sooner rather than later and there are some fine moments on here and their back catalogue has some classic moments.
So in conclusion this is still one of the eighties better rock album offerings.

im finding it hard to write this review,which says it all really,uninspired bland nonsense,an alternative to wasting money on this would be to buy the badlands album.
