3.0 out of 5 stars Backs to the Wall 21 Feb 2006
By G. Kidd
Format:Audio CD
I really hoped this 'tribute' was going to work. It doesn't! With a few exceptions the tracks on this album are not played with any real feeling or cohesiveness. What's missing is the sound of a band playing together. This is a bunch of talented musicians each providing a contribution - nothing more. I doubt very much if they were ever in the same room together never mind playing together. The 'stars' appearances are limited with Steve Howe only on two tracks playing acoustic and Rick Wakeman only on one for example. I cant see this piece of work being around for long. It's more of a curio for Floyd completists. That said it is difficult to fault the musicianship displayed. It's probably nearer 3 and a half stars. If anyone hasn't heard The Wall this is not for them. Stick with the original or live recordings. Waters' version is particularly brilliant either in it's entirety or the exerts on In the Flesh.

4.0 out of 5 stars A must 25 April 2004
Format:Audio CD
This great CD is a must for anyone that like punk rock, and hatesPresident. Bush.
Everyone one of the great, addictive tracks will makeyou want more and more of the CD, and when you think it can't get anybetter, it does.
Even if you're not a hardcore punk, theres a greatchance to hear tracks that are other wise unavailable. Personally, Istarted listening to three new bands, just because I heard their tracks onthis CD.
I repeat, if you do not own this CD, buy it! You won't regretit.
