There's no right answer here: it's a matter of taste. But you're not sure exactly what your taste is, anymore. You've been turned around and around by all the keyboard versions of this thing. You know that you don't want to keep buying Goldbergs like an addict. You have Gould's versions, Schiff, Tureck, Hewitt, Landowska, Koroliov, Perahia, Nikolayeva, Rosen, Barenboim. Bought the Dinnerstein and the Angelich when they were being heavily promoted. Oops, the Denk, too, he's so charming. Now you're onto the string transcriptions, listening to clips and this one sounds lovely, but some say that Sitkovetsky improved his work later with another two trio versions and one for chamber orchestra. And claim that the players didn't "dig deep enough" in this first outing. Digging deep? What does that mean? This isn't Beethoven, after all. Digging deep can be the wrong way to go with Bach. I don't know, I don't know…

Well, that's the situation. One last Goldberg, but which one will it be…Well, which one, punk?
