5.0 out of 5 stars Heavenly music 18 April 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This is the best recording of Bach's flute sonatas I've heard. Mme Grafenauer blows away maestro Rampal with her soft, warm, elegant and just so wonderful phrasing. Using harp and cello instead of the usual harpsichord for continuo turnes the music into a fragile river of sounds that is very appaling even for not-so-hard baroque fans.
