5.0 out of 5 stars Very good CD 28 Dec 2009
This is an excellent set of cantatas with very good soloists and instrumental playing. It made a good present and was enjoyed very much.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good soloists, but the choir is not of the same high standard 1 Sep 2005
By J. Vink - Published on Amazon.com
I largely agree with the previous reviewer (azdcl), especialy concerning the soloist. However, I have difficulties with the choir, which sounds un-focussed to my ears. As far as the choir is concerned I would prefer the cantata performances by Suzuki.

However, these recordings were made in a german church with singers and players situated at the organ gallery, a practise which is probably similar to what Bach did.
