5.0 out of 5 stars A favourite of my my 10 month old 24 Feb 2002
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
This book is a must have for those who want to spend quality time with their children; for those who are sometimes intimidated by reading to toddlers; and for those who like books with the potential to do post-reading activities.

It was amazing to me that my 10 month old was very interested in the story as well as the photos. Perhaps it is because she can relate to another baby and the activities shown. The photos are excellent and trace each month of the baby's first year. Sometimes we discuss a photo that my daughter focusses on, or a question from the story. At other times we discuss concepts or vocabulary like 'water', 'toothbrush', 'eating', 'crying'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Original Version is a favorite of both my girls 18 Jun 2012
By victoria nunes - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I have the original version of this book, picked up from a garage sale, when the baby was named "Neil" and the styles look like 1980something :) But both of my girls as babies and toddlers LOVE this book. It was the favorite of my oldest between 1-3 years old, and seems to be the favorite of my 22 month old. They are absolutely captivated by the different pictures of "Baby Neil", and stay completely focused until the last page. Such a random favorite for both of them since their little library is full of 100 other more colorful, animated and classic storybooks. But that's why I'm writing the review. Must be a great book if both girls, very different from one another, adore it so much :)
5.0 out of 5 stars Charming little book! 28 Mar 2011
By Rengal - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This little story book is great for preparing older kids for the birth of a new sibling, or for kids who are curious about their own babyhood and growing up. It is delightful in that the birth is not a hospital birth, it's natual, and babay is breastfed! Definitely reccoemnd it.
Note: this is not a board book, it has soft pages.
