Another youthful romp from 90s John Hughes (who also gave us the first 3 Home Alones, as well as Flubber), Baby's Day Out does boast a lot of the same pros and cons as its brethern: good, colourful production values, a zany yet moving score from veteran Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Tombstone, Miracle on 34th Street (coincidentally, another Hughes project) that does take cues from the Carl Stalling tradition, and the odd funny sight gag in the Three Stooges/Warner Bros. tradition, but is also very light on plot, characters and even logic, given how much Baby Bink travels around a bustling city without being noticed by one single person or causing any sort of major alarm.

Children, especially the young, will take in the film's simple charms and goofiness, but there is little here for anyone above the age of 6, except for those who grew up with it or die-hard Hughes completionists.

This is in the style of Home Alone, but instead of taking two thirds of the film to establish the setting for the slapstick, with this film the slapstick starts straight away.
It has echoes of Harold lloyd, Buster Keaton, Chaplin, Mr Bean. In fact, if you can name any slapstick-style comedy, this probably has similarities.
A great, fun and entertaining film with a bit of American-pink-fluffy-moments stuff thrown in for good measure at the end.

Hughes makes a confident return to action packed family fun with the epic adventures of Bink, the victim of a bungled kidnap attempt by 3 inept crooks.Utilising a host of deadly martial skills he tracks down and slaughters the crooks in innovative ways, feeding 1 to a gorilla and setting the genitals of another alight.
never has such menace been portrayed by an actor who is too young to speak

This movie is absolutely hilarious.
The 3 bumbling kidnappers are continually outwitted by a super cute angelic baby boy.
It really is laugh a minute and Joe Mantegna is very funny in the role.
The scene in the park with the kidnappers and the cops is side splitting.
If you feel down then watch this movie. It's guaranteed to make you laugh.

Baby's day out is a lovely film that children and adults will just adore.

I've watched this film many times as a child and my mother (a childminder)has just bought. It is Certainly a film for all ages as my freind and I (18 & 19), two children aged 8 yrs and my mum, who's age is on a strictly need to know basis, found it enjoyable and endearing.

This film is about three men who masquerade as baby photographers. They then kidnap a baby from a very wealthy couple to hold for ransom. Once they have the baby the fun really begins, as they have no idea how to look after a child. Baby Bink (what a name!) manages to escape from the con artists, and goes on an adventurous daytrip, visiting wondrous places and seeing fantastic sights, the only problem is, he's travelling alone! As the bumbling trio are in hot pursuit, baby Bink is cool, calm and totally unaware of the havoc he wreaks. "Baby's Day Out" is a hilarious mix of comedy and incredible special effects.

I can not recommend this film enough, so buy it, and enjoy the laughs. You will not be disappointed.

This film isn't the best film ever made, but it's great fun for children. I remember it distinctly from my own childhood (not a terrifically long time ago!) and I was delighted to get it here on Amazon.

Great Saturday evening entertainment for kids and families.

Having spent time looking after my new granddaughter, I found this a lovely happy and extremely funny film. Very clever'plot'. You must pay attention at the very beginning to get the very best from it. Enjoy! If you liked three men and a baby you will like this.
