I fancied a change of image back in June and decided to go for the shaved head and designer stubble "bad boy" look rather than my usual clean shaven, spiky hair look.
Went to buy myself a set of clippers and I seen this in alongside the clippers I fancied so I thought Id give it a shot.
It certainly looks the part and at £40 its pretty expensive for a beard trimmer.
The cool thing about this is that you can just push a button and the head automatically rises or drops to the setting you want.
It goes down to 0.5mm which I liked because that gives you the 1 day stubble look I wanted.
Also liked the idea of not having to oil the blades.
Unfortunately in practice this doesn't work quite as well as I hoped for.
You have to make so that the trimmer is at 90 degrees which is hard to do especially around the chin and cheek area.
Also nicked myself a couple of times while using the 0.5mm setting.
When I wanted longer stubble 1.5mm - 2mm, I found it very hard to get a consistent length all over my face.
In fact one time I got really annoyed and pulled out a Gillette Blue II and shaved everything off.
Its a shame because Babyliss have a really great idea here.
They need to re-design the head and guard area so you don't need to continually hold it at 90 degrees.
Also heard people complain about the battery power, so maybe they need to look at this to.
Ive have recently used the 30 day money back guarantee and am on the look out for a better trimmer.
