This gate was a bit tricky to fix, but a lot of that was due to our stairs, and a door frame opening right at the bottom of the stairs. However, my relatively handy husband had both up without much fuss. My daughter has only just turned one (but is walking) and hasn't even thought about trying to open it yet, but I don't think she will be able to figure it out anyway. A good solid gate, and I'm really pleased we went for one without the bottom bar, so no tripping risk.
Excellent baby gate! Fits in awkward spaces with a little extra tweaking and is really easy to use but not too easy for little hands! Great value and great product .. feels very good quality and looks good.. just what we were looking for!
We had Lindam stair gates before which were ok but there was a worry with the posibility of the one at the top of the stairs slipping. They also had bottom bars which are dangerous. These gates are much more secure and the fact that there is no 'trip' bar is excellent. Sayng that, I am not very DIY savvy. I was able to install the Lindam gates but not these ones. They took my very DIY savvy father-in-law five hours to install two of these gates so be warned that if you order these you will need to know someone who is good at DIY. Otherwise they seem to be good.
