I works very well and is a very solid solution, but be warned it was only the 3 piece guard as the description says, not the 5 piece as the picture shows (at the time of writing this review). I didn't notice this when I ordered it, but luckily it just fits! Although because there's only 3 panel and not 5 like the picture the guard is too close to the fire when it's on, so I will have to purchase the extra 2 panels soon! :(

Absolutely excellent fireguard. It's very sturdy and doesn't get hot at all. It's also one of the few fireguards I found that has a gate within it so that you don't have to remove the whole fireguard when you're tending to the fire, which is vital for me as we keep stacks of wood, firelighters, matches etc all behind the fireguard away from little hands. Highly recommended.
We purchased this and a 20 cm extension to put round our woodburner to protect our baby Grandson.
