Just what we wanted. Important things to note: you have to drill it in- some people wont like this but it does make the gate sturdier and means there is no annoying bar at foot level to trip over. Relatively easy to open and close with baby in hand too.

The gate was one of two bought to help contain a bouncing puppy. This gate looks stylish when in place - great Danish design, easy on the eye and easy to use with just one hand. Very strong and robust.
Downside - the walls need to be drilled to attach the gate supports. A paper template is supplied to avoid drilling in the wrong place. It was a ten minute job.
Advantages - the whole gate swings either way so the door way is not reduced (the door width is only 68 cm in our location)and there is no bar to trip over. Verdict - should have bought two of these!

Frustrating to see a clear plan from the instructions and the door frame fixings need to be exact; there is no adjustment for any error in alignment.
However; when carefully fitted it is a superb easy to use safe safety gate which I would recommend without hesitation. It looks nice as well.
It can even be operated with your foot if your hands are full, unless you put the lock on. Kept 9 little bulldogs safe.

This is very sturdy gate. Simple mechanism to open/close(not so simple that the baby can figure it out). Read more

Stair gate!
This fitted lovely on the bottom of our stairs and is the only one that we could find that fitted safely.
Added bonus is that there is no bottom bar to fall over! Read more
