Before I go on I've got to admit I didn't purchase this via Amazon or one of their sellers...
Being the kind of guy who researches every purchase I've been bitten by this item by my lack of doing this properly for the first time in ages. First up it's not abundantly clear that this will need you to put screws into your TV cabinet. So first up make sure you can actually do that (i.e. your TV cabinet is made of a material that you can screw something into!) and then decide whether you want your nice TV cabinet with puncture marks in it - although at least it will be a part people don't see.
Next up, and most importantly of all, is check the holes for the screws on the back of your TV before ordering this product. If like my TV the area surrounding these holes are not perfectly flat (mine curve inwards) then the thread of the screws which are supplied with this are not long enough to secure the strap to the TV rendering the whole thing useless. So it's off to a hardware store for me to see if I can find some longer screws...
