There seems to be a general lack of window locks on the market for UPVC windows which can be fitted after with window is installed, despite the obvious hazard for small children. This lock does the job, but is not very robust. It does not come with screws and some improvisation is needed, and a bit of nerve to drive screw through a UPVC window frame. When in place it serves more a deterrent than a physical barrier. The manufacturer really should invest in a better design.

Dose what it says, but could have been designed better as I've had to make alterations so that the window could be opened in an emergency!
their are alot more sturdier versions on the market it may be cheap and just about do the job but that really isnt good enough for me ordered a different design made from steel as i wanted my daughters bedroom window to be 100% safe this is too flimsy and made of cheap plastic

WORKS AS EXPECTED BUT NOT AS STRONG AS WE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE, PRICE REASONABLE AND QUITE EASY TO FIT AND USE BUT WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER

Window lock that gives peace of mind
Just about to buy several more of these. Bought 2 locks 2 years ago to fit to a uPVC window in a child's bedroom. Once in place feels very secure and gives complete peace of mind.

don't buy
This item has gone in the bin. The instructions are poor. It took 4 adults to try and work them out. It seems that the pictures are a mirror image of the real thing. Read more
