Our first Babysitter Balance was launched in 1961 (it was actually the Babysitter that started BabyBjorn back in 1961) and through the years it has become one of our most beloved products.
The BabyBjorn Babysitter Balance transforms your child’s movements into a soothing, rocking motion that’s fun too. The bouncer helps develop your child’s balance and motor skills while keeping your hands free. No batteries are needed. Your child sets the pace. It’s fun and soothing at the same time.
From newborn to approximately two years
From newborn to approximately two years (3,5 – 13kg, 8 – 29lbs). The BabyBjorn Babysitter is equipped with a removable safety harness. During the first months and up until the child can sit up and walk on his/her own, the safety harness should always be on. When your child can sit up and walk on his/her own, the safety harness should be removed completely. Since the safety harness can be removed, allowing older children to get in and out on his/her own, the BabyBjorn Babysitter can be used for children up until the age of two (maximum weight 13kg or 29lbs).

Three different positions: play, rest and sleep
The BabyBjorn Babysitter Balance has three positions: play, rest and sleep. It can also be folded to make it compact and easy to transport, this also makes packing or storing, when not in use, simple.
Age From newborn to approximately 2 years of age (8-29 lbs/3.5-13 kg).
Materials The fabric is 60% cotton and 40% polyester.
The textiles closest to the child have been tested and approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1 for baby products. These are guaranteed harmless to children’s sensitive skin and will not trigger allergies.
Product care The fabric is easy to take off and machine wash, warm (40 °C).
Safety BabyBjorn Babysitter Balance meets the safety requirements of EN 12790:2009.

I discovered this bouncer with my third child and loved it immediately, it is very comfy and my little lad used to fall asleep in it easily with its natural gentle rocking motion. It is also, and most importantly, very safe with its weighted bottom, making it impossible to topple, no matter how far forward they lean.
I had Mothercare bouncers with my first two children, the first broke and the material ripped and with my second child at six months, they bounced forward and landed on their face.
My baby was in this from newborn and felt comforted in it immediately. I even managed to put off buying a highchair until my little lad was six months as this was perfect for feeding time, especially the early weaning stage when they are too small for a highchair.
We take this with us wherever we go as it lays completely flat and is therefore so portable. We even took it out with us to a restaurant recently and was perfect sat by the table and baby was happy throughout, much easier than manoeuvering a bulky pram in a small space.
I cannot rate this product highly enough and even though it is a considerable amount of money to lay out, they really hold their price, making the secondhand resale value great!!
Expensive but worth it as far as we are concerned.
