Having read the previous reviews before purchasing these bibs, I was a little doubtful about them staying on the carrier, but felt it was better to put up with that than having to wash the carrier more often. However, when I have received the bibs, I've discovered that they actually have an opening at each end that you slot the harness of the carrier through, so there is no way that the bib can fall off. So glad I decided to buy these!
(The carrier we are using with these bibs is the BabyBjorn Miracle, but they state that they will fit other carriers except for the Comfort)

I ordered this item as my daughter kept getting a sore chin whilst in her carrier. This was the best value product I could find. Unfortunately, we ended up hardly ever using it as it was quite coarse against her chin. I'm sure after a number of washes (more than 5) it would get softer, but, I have to say, I'm quite disapointed by it. I was expecting a good quality product, as I got with the BabyBjorn carrier we have. This just seems to be of quite poor quality.

our friends bought our sling as a present before our baby was born. she loves her sling and now she can sit facing out in it she is amazed by how much she can see, but by using the sling this way she loved to suck on the edge of the sling. the bibs are an exellent addition as the bib is easy to change inbetween uses without having to wash the whole sling.

We bought the BB bibs because a friend recommended them. We're so pleased we did as our son is at that really dribbly stage and we'd much rather the bib gets full of drool than the BB! A friend used the BB without the bibs and found that the colour ran onto her baby's chin! The bibs are nice and soft too, so I'm sure nicer to the touch for our son than the tough cotton that the BB is made of.
Because they are made specifically for the BB the bibs fit it perfectly, and are easy to thread onto the carrier. As another reviewer has mentioned, there are two in a pack which means one can be laundered while the other is in use.
If you're going to spend money on the BB then my advice would be to spend a little extra and buy the bibs to protect the carrier.

I received 2 BabyBjorn carriers & initially shunned these bibs as a clever marketing ploy, using IKEA terry squares, and Mothercare muslins as alternatives. Having lost a load of the squares as my son cast them adrift during walks, and faced with washing the dribble-laden carrier after every outing, I eventully bought the bibs & they're well worth it. Designed perfectly, they completely contain the dribble/possets, preventing staining and my 2nd BabyBjorn carrier - despite frequent use - has remained in pristine condition. It's re-sale value when he grows out of it will more than offset the cost of the bibs. The first (bib-less) carrier is quite literally washed-out will be heading for the skip.

The actual bib part gets 5 stars, but there is no way to secure it onto the carrier when the sides are unclipped.
As soon as you unclip the sides, the bib falls off which is incredibly annoying, especially when it keeps falling on the floor or in mud. Kind of defeats the purpose.
I think I might sew a presstud or some velcro on to solve the problem, but I really shouldn't have to.

This really does enhance the Baby Bjorn asthetically and practically. We didn't use them for our first baby - he wasn't sick and the carrier was new and looked good. Second time around the carrier is looking a little tired (much like us!) and is greatly enhanced by the addition of some pretty pink bibs. Our second baby suffers with reflux and it has meant that I don't have to wash the carrier after every trip out. The only reason I have dropped to 4 stars is because I think that after a while the waterproofness begins to fail and they are quite expensive. Would still recommend though.

I got one set of these because my baby loves to face out and chew on the carrier. They work exactly as they are supposed to. They are very thin fabric - which is good as if the were too thick they would not sit well on the carrier. They are not particularly soft to the touch but my teething baby loves to chew on rough fabric so the texture is not a problem. My carrier has never been wet when I have used one of these so I suspect the polyester content in the fabric is to make them waterproof as cotton fabric this thin would soak through in seconds. Looking at the pictures it would appear that the bibs would fall off easily but they thread over the top straps so it would be impossible for the to fall off while the carrier is buckled up. I would definitely recommend these to any BB carrier owner.
So why not 5 starts? Firstly while they cannot fall off while the carrier is on the on the do slide about a bit and the fall off very easily when the carrier is not on. Also the are pretty expensive for a couple of bibs - but I've yet to find a cheap baby bjorn product so if your willing to shell out for the carrier - spend the extra for the bibs - you won't regret it.

Ractical design
