I brought this DVD to get some physical and calm time with my son so we could be closer. Not the end result by any means!

There we were, yoga mat in place, sitting together ready. But there was no action for at least 10 minutes when we had to listen to 3 smug ladies talk about how great baby yoga was, but were they going to let us into the secret of how to do it? I hoped so but the answer is no they were not!

The sequences don't start with any kind of warm up for the participants, they go bang into action, almost as if they are half way through the session and you've just walked in the room. No explanations of the moves and no relation to each move, totally unstructured. My boy was bored and started to leap at me thinking we were playing. Also the so called 'toddlers' in the DVD were tiny and my boy is 18kg and 29 months, so some of the moves were not practical and I did my back in trying one.

There were lots of shots of smiling parents, smiling instructors and cute kids holding onto pillars and running around a swanky white yoga studio. If I wanted cute kid shots, I would have not purchased this DVD but looked at my own children instead.

All talk and no substance. I'm disappointed.

I am so sorry I bothered with this DVD. There is so much chatter about how good this will be and an incredibly long disclaimer essay at the beginning and very little else.

I wondered whether it would be a yoga class for mums with a bit of variations on the asanas/poses to include the baby... or if it would be more a play-yoga-games kind of thing, where toddlers ran about and played animals or tried poses in a playgroup.

Neither happened. Just a lot of sitting and trying to keep the baby/toddler interested in a ribbon or mum's hair, lots of soothing voices and disinterested children. The kids in the DVD kept wandering off, bored, looking for something to do behind the camera operator's back.

I'm sure there is a baby, toddler, parent yoga DVD out there that will be good for my family. I hope I find it before my child goes to university.

This is aimed at toddlers, but most of the DVD appears to be aimed at under 18 months. It is more useful to those with much younger children - allowing some playtime to introduce yoga concepts to the parent and child.

I was expecting a few more workouts for the toddler group (as the title suggests). I had hoped for some practical workouts that allow me and my 2 year old to follow together. But only two short sections of the DVD seemed to apply to his age group. So this DVD has been of limited benefit. He has enjoyed these brief sections, but the bulk of the DVD's content is not applicable and this makes the DVD overpriced and of limited use.
