A good, solid product for sleeping in bed with baby which is easy to fit, assemble and fold

This product provides a roughly 102cm (40 inch) long barrier down one side of your bed and extends to a heigh of just over 40cm (about 16 inches) above the bottom of your mattress (the measurements are lacking from the page).
Assembling the product from its original packaging is a little fiddly but not too hard with slightly poor instructions. As long as you do not fully dissemble it again however, you only need to do this once.
Fitting it to the bed is a matter of sliding a second part of the product (not shown in the picture) which extends at right angles to the main guard under your mattress for about the same 40cm length. This process is simple and quick.
Once in place, the end result is a solid barrier which will prevent a baby from rolling out of bed which has good padding around the edges and a "breath through" fine mesh in the middle.
The product does not extend down the entire side of the bed giving it less usefulness once your child is mobile enough to be moving up and down the bed but a very good investment for peace of mind with a young baby who is relatively static but will learn to roll from side-to-side at some point. At 3-4 months of age we became less comfortable using it with our son for this reason but before then it was excellent.

We brought this bed guard, as we were going on holiday in a caravan, and knew that the travel cot was going to be to big to put in a small caravan size bedroom. It fitted perfect. Took 10 minutes to work out, but once you have worked it out, very easy to assemble the next time.
Just started to use it on our cot at home. We have a cot bed, fits perfect, borrowed a friends guard, and it didn't fit the slates on the cot bed very good, but this one does. We have a tall toddler so it's a good size guard, doesn't roll out and can't get through the sides. Would recommend it.

really pleased with this as we have a cotbed and no others fitted the base - instructions not too clear thought but we are pleased it does the job for us!

Baby Dan sleep guard
