This book is really helpful in making the all-important decision on what to call your baby. It's not just a standard list of possible names for you to choose from, it also helps you to think about things such as how the name might be shortened, the initials, acronyms, surnames and even about naming twins or more!
Chapters include details on what names were popular in 2009, predicted top names for 2010, popular names from the past, daft celebrity baby names, advice about registering your baby and some very funny names that were even banned by the Registar! It also obviously includes a full and comprehensive list of boys and girls names complete with the origin and meaning.
I really enjoyed looking through the book and have had lots of fun writing a great list of possible names!

7,000 sounds like a lot, but when you divide it by two for each sex its a lot less. Although there is some inspiration in little lists of for example film star names, or flowers, a lot of the names are foreign and modern and i didnt feel that there was much there.

When this book arrived into my mailbox, I felt very thrilled and could not wait to open it and finally find the right name for my baby! It has been a bit of a disappointment, as I was expecting to read more detailed information about the meaning of the names....But still think that it could be a nice present to give to a future mother who's looking for a special name to give to her child...

Not the best
I found this book too big and has some rather strange names in to be honest. I just wanted the straightforward names to look through so was a bit disappointed.

A great book to have!

Average name book but it did give us allot of ideas to consider. Sometimes its good to know whats popular if you dont want to choose a common name.
