Find the book far to basic. The information that it provides can be found by simply googling the age of the baby,very disspointing. Was really expecting some more information regarding how to stimulate my baby's developmemt, what games to play etc. Having said that the title does not corresponds at all with what's in: the baby should sit up to 9 months and walk till year and a half- you can get this info anywhere without having to pay for it. We all know that our babies should sleep in their own beds. Some ideas please about how to achieve that!!!!! But it has nice photos and my baby loves looking at them.

A very well detailed book on development, I would say the best book out there for tracking milestones and very well written. If you would prefer a book that suggests fun activities buy "Baby's First Skills" by Dr Miriam Stoppard. But if you want a detailed book explaining and reaally going over milestones in more depth THIS is the book.

This book was fab....I loved it. It has split the years down into 3 month chunks and has a summary at the beginning of each section of what a child may be doing at each stage. It has several different categories and these are the same throughout the book - which is good. Against the milestones in each category i would note down what James was doing/was not doing by when. He is now 3 years old and it is one of my most treasured items. All the notes and comments I have made on the milestone pages of the book are great memories. I would never remember all these details now had I not done this.
Definately a great use for the book. Especially for someone with no prior knowledge of children.
