This is a lovely product, but the instructions are not terribly helpful. I can see why many people have had trouble with it. The rubbery "dough" for making the impressions arrives wrapped in plastic film which sticks fast to it and is very difficult to remove. The dough itself has the consistency of recently chewed bubble gum and is just as sticky. However, with perseverance and some experimentation I produced some very successful imprints of my 5-week-old's hand and foot. My advice would be to roll out the dough between two sheets of greaseproof paper, using a proper rolling pin, not the little wooden roller that comes in the kit. Once the dough has been worked a bit, the consistency changes to something like plasticine and it has a smooth, non-sticky surface. And it doesn't matter that you lose some of the dough because it sticks to the plastic when you unwrap it - there is at least twice the amount that you would need to make two impressions. So don't be put off - it just takes a little bit of patience. Really, the hardest part is getting Baby to unclench his/her hand.
