Feed directly from the 4 ounce capacity cup with the included serving spoon. The lightweight tote, fashioned like a lunch box, conveniently stores the food mill and spoon before and after use. Plastic components are moulded to meet FDA specifications for food preparation while the precision sharpened cutter and strainer are medical grade stainless steel. The entire assembly is dishwasher safe, may be sterilised and won't chip, break or crack.

The is a great tool for mothers and fathers to serve their babies the healthiest and cheapest food you can buy. By just using the dinner or lunch you have cooked for the family, put some of it in the top of this food mill, turn the crank and you have a meal for your baby. You can also grind up several servings or items in advance and freeze portions in an ice tray for future use. Now you know exactly what your baby is eating and it is so easy and economical, too!

I bought this after reading the other reviews and have been disappointed. It works well on very soft foods (like ripe pear), hence the two stars, but these would be easy to mash into a puree anyway. I used it on some steamed mixed vegetables today and I had to push down so hard I might as well have just used a sieve instead, despite them being steamed until soft. I also find the disc quite fiddly to remove.

Love this product, easy to use, easy to transport. Means you can turn what ever you eat into baby food. No better way to give your baby a healthy diet (assuming you feed yourself well). I had a very similar product for my first child and I really wanted one for my baby. Was thrilled when I found the baby dan. However, it is not quite so well made and a wee tricky to get the grinder in and out of the slots.
