This is a great album, Baby Charles have got a groove on. Cool keyboards and wind section along with a healthy dose of wah wah. Vocals sound great and the beats are spot on. If you enjoy Sharon Jones and the Dab king you'll enjoy his!

This first album by Baby Charles is a fine soul revival album. It's quality music a la The Dap Kings paired with some very good vocals. There's a bit of jazz, a bit of funk, and a whole lotta soul.

Sounds like a Dap-King's work, a vintage soul album where the instruments are really instruments!
Dionne Charles still doesn't have the deepness of Sharon Jones...but it's a really funny album.

This is a pretty solid album, and a good first release for the band. The instrumentals are very tight, but still have that grittiness that makes soul what it is.

Someone else rightfully compared this group to Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. For some reason, it feels as though the lead vocalist takes a back seat to the band in Baby Charles.
