The surprises in the video include: turning a train upside down, changing from a circle to a square, a star to a circle, changing colours and movements, and the voice of an adult becoming that of a child. The video also presents partial views, like a cat's whiskers or a cat's eye, eventually letting the infant discover and anticipate the whole of the cat's face. All of these events help the infant to think, notice repetitions, plan eye movements and altogether build up their brain structure.
It is important that an adult sits with the child and actively participates while watching the video. You will be able to see, at close quarters, the responses and amusement the video creates within the child. This is a learning tool and should be used at least three times a week to stimulate your infant, just like any educational book or toy. --Lynne Unwin

It's simple pictures and changing images together with simple explanations make it perfect for occupying a young child. I would definitely recommend this as a purchase and I myself, will be buying volume two.
