Both our daughters have loved this dvd, I bought it first as a video and then upgraded. This second one is v.different to the first one, and is probably more suited to the slightly older baby - around 9 months or so. While the first one is suitable for newborns, this is more educational. Our girls loved the babies who are well animated and the baby noises. As they get older they enjoy the engaging way that the adult interacts with the babies.

The animation is really good and the content is educational to around about 2 year old level - it teaches shapes, colours, counting, sizes (big and small) as well as music. Definitely recommended!

We bought the first Baby Bright when our son was 3 months old. He loved it. We thought we'd buy the second one so that he could have some variety and he, now 8 months old, hates it. The first one is simple and easy to follow. The second one is much more complicated and, while you can see how similar it is to the first one, seems to be more aimed at the parents liking the filming and animation techniques rather than for the babies to enjoy it. Perhaps I'm being harsh and perhaps our son will enjoy it when he's a bit older. We'll just have to wait and see.
