5.0 out of 5 stars Good fun and good value, 14 Mar 2009
By Terry L (Stockport, Cheshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
I bought this as a gift for my daughter after she had her second baby. She used it to create a set of 'casts' for the new baby and his two year old sister. Easy to use, and creates an eternal memory. As they say, they grow up so fast.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Great., 26 Nov 2008
By K. Charlton "Happy Dad" (Surrey, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Despite initially looking promising with a surprisingly high quality frame lots of plaster and a mold that could be reused for 24 hours the result I got was not great.
The mold material seemed far too hard and despite vigorously agitating it and eventually heating on a radiator it was difficult to apply enough pressure on babies foot to get a deep enough imprint for a 3D cast. I had over a dozen goes and eventually got a reasonable casting of each foot.
However because I couldn't apply enough pressure without breaking baby to force the mold material fully above and between his toes my casts are not 3D, just deep imprints. This coupled with the fact the plaster was pure white means from a distance of more than 12 inches its very hard to see any depth or definition and its not easily apparent what is actually in the frame! Now if I used a plastic dolls foot I reckon I could get a perfect cast just like the picture on the box. Funny that...
Still it was almost fun to do, it's on the wall and with a file and maybe a dry brushing of paint it might look a little better.
Although £20+ is quite a sum when you can get someone to do a ceramic tile print for not much more.
