We bought this doll for my daughter's 4th birthday. The doll is all hard bodied, and it was very difficult to make it make any of the sounds - in fact it was impossible for my daughter to make it work. The main reason we bought the doll was because you could wash it, but after one very shallow wash in a baby bath ours stopped working. We returned it and got a Tiny Tears in its place which we're much happier with. Very disappointed with this, would expect more from a baby annabell product.

I'm really confused with this product - it looks and feels realistic and durable but on closer inspection I am too concerned to fully test it. You are meant to be able to bathe/bath this doll and there is a sensor around the bottom which activates responses when wet - however 5 - 6cm from the bottom of the doll is the on/off switch and the battery compartment, neither of which seem to have waterproofing. When I replaced the batteries there was no rubber seal or coating which would suggest this could withstand anything other than the smallest depth of water.I'm not willing to risk gambling and ending up with an inactive doll so this toy stays away from the water for now. Also I'd like to confirm the other problem - the baby may have soft feeling skin but underneath the surface is a body harder than Stallone. If your three year old can bench-press their own weight they may be able to activate the sounds/vibrations but our little girl makes do with just dressing and undressing this dolly in silence. Yes, it looks the part and yes, my daughter was overjoyed but as a hard-working parent with limited disposable income I feel a bit cheated that the promises made are a bit questionable.

I bought this for Christmas for my nearly 2 year old daughter - and she thinks it is great! She takes the doll all over and even to bed.For me, dolls are pretty much all the same when your children are so young. The reason we chose this particular one was for the brand, cost and description - thinking we were getting something that would be fun, lasting and educational. Yes, the baby does seem real life, yes you can put her in to the bath, and yes, the baby does make noises. However, I am a little non plussed and cannot help feeling that the cost of the doll is a little too high for what it is. The most annoying aspect is that there are a number of sensors on the dolls front, and the doll responds to these. However, I cannot always make these work in the way that they should. And the actual noise is not that loud. You also get several accessories, milk bottle, nappie, clothing etc etc. I am though still going to say I will strongly recommend this product as at the end of the day, it's not for me it's for my daughter!!! And she loves it - so whether I think it costs too much or doesn't work quite right, she knows best.
