HASH(0x937859c0) out of 5 stars ~~Large drawings and rhymes!! 16 Jan. 2014

An assortment of animals from Africa which is suitable for children aged 0 - 5. I like the fact that it includes the diet, the weight and the height for some of them. It includes a hippo, a lion, an elephant, a cheetah, a giraffe and a zebra.

It will hold the attention of your little one and the drawings are large and colorful. It also rhymes which is a welcome addition for a book for children.

Most highly recommended.

Great book for young kids - my three-year-old nephew loved it! His favorite part was the lion and he's been prowling around the house practicing being a lion ever since we read the book!
HASH(0x9374e9cc) out of 5 stars Great Starter Book - Early Reader 19 Jan. 2016

This is a great book for the little ones to get on the path of reading early. I love all the illustrations about this book - the coloring of the pictures, the small description facts about each the animals and what continent they live on - Africa.

This book isn't a long and drawn out book but a short one that goes straight to the point. Rhyming facts about each animal keeps the young ones attentive and focus on each page as they are read to by the reader.

The goal of early reading is to switch from adult reader to child reader - this is awsome. I recommend this book to all parents who are expecting child(ren) - put this on your To-Do-List, parents who have child(ren) ages 0-5, grandparents, pre-school teachers, and teachers in general. All I can say is, "simple and short - it's for the children!"

My Leaving Thoughts:
It's never to early to start training your child
The Word of God says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it." Pro. 22:6

HASH(0x935834d4) out of 5 stars Adorable animal themed book! 7 Jun. 2015
By Bridget Mattson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
An absolute precious and adorable book about animals from Africa

What I love about it:
Rhyming - this book uses lots of rhymes which holds a young child's interest

Perfect length - this book is not too long, not too short, and the length is just about perfect for a book for young children

Great for toddlers and preschoolers - I think this book is best suited for the 2-5 age group, and both toddlers and preschoolers really seem to love this book

Adorable illustrations - each animal is given adorable illustrations that make the book so much more fun to read

What I don't like about it:
Hippo color - while I like the idea of a purple hippopotamus, the book then talks about it being gray. I think it would have been better to make the hippo gray

At the end of the day, this is a cute little book, a fast read, and toddlers and preschoolers will love it. It makes an excellent addition to animal themed curriculum as well.
HASH(0x936c2db0) out of 5 stars Informative and rhythmic. We love it! 19 Oct. 2015

I recently purchased this book for my 3 year old son and we both love it! The writing is really simple to read and rhymes nicely. The rhyming is great because it encourages children to remember and read along (which my son is already doing after reading it twice!)

We love how colorful the animals are on each page. Many ebooks don't have an abundance of picture, so I was very happy this one did. The animal facts are excellent and again, simple for the age of the child this book is intended for. I love reading things of substance to my son, as children are never too young to begin learning! This is a nice length e-book and it makes a perfect bedtime story. It engages my son and he has truly enjoyed it each and every time! I recommend it as I'm sure any young child would enjoy this book!
